4.4 quake shakes Southern California
A 4.4-magnitude earthquake centered in just west of Muscoy, and north of San Bernardino, rattled Southern California at 9:32 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey.
It some areas, it lasted just a couple of seconds and was gentle. Elsewhere, it went on much longer.
It was 5.3 kilometers below the surface.
